College Rankings by Recruiters

The link is below.  If you have an idea of what you want to do, you should pay special attention to rankings by major.

In my view, this is an excellent way to rank colleges.  For example, companies will indirectly know if a university has good humanities courses.  How?  That universities’ graduates will be able to understand what is being said, and be able to express themselves well, both in interviews, and, later, in meetings.

There is a caveat, though.  If, for example, a company wants well educated engineers and/or managers, but doesn’t need the next Bill Gates, it won’t rank MIT or Stanford high.  So, if you can get into Stanford, don’t turn it down to go to Penn State.

I will add a link to this.  Look under the blogroll on the left.
