I have updated my page Baccalaureate to Ph.D. in Science and Engineering (Feeder Schools) to add a list of the top 50 colleges that produce students that go on to a Ph.D. in Science and Engineering. To me, that is a strong indication that they are doing a good job of teaching Science and Engineering, whether their students go on to a Ph.D. or not.
